Painting without brushes

I'm bored out of my mind and have this assignment I gotta do for my 9th grade design class. I don't know how it's design, but whatever. I need to do a painting using acrylics, without using a paintbrush. Anybody got any ideas on what to use? It's supposed to be an abstract piece.

Hands? Sponge?

Hands, sponge, spatula, those shaving brush things maybe, pieces of wadded up paper, random junk you find, pencil erasers, cloth, FACE! Just pick up some random stuff and start messing with it. The assignment is obviously designed to output some weird stuff, so humor your teacher.

Yeah, I'd go with that too, but you could try other stuff. Fingers would be the most fun.

Rip off one of those earphone pads, wind it around a pencil, and let er rip.

Get a palet knife. It's what artists use when not using brushes...but make sure you have A LOT of paint!

I don't think that ought to be a problem with acrylic. All the acrylics I have worked with were pretty solid unless you diluted them, so you could just work with it in its drier form. That could give your work some interesting texture.

Use your hair! Just dip your head in a bucket and rub it all over a canvas. That would be really cool with people who have long hair, or someone who has spikey hair!

id go for fingers and palette knives.
knives give you quite a lot of handling possibilities and your fingers make nod bad edge control.

may be messy... but fun :)

Pallette knives can get some kickass rock textures. Saptulas etc. sound good too. If you really wanna go back to kindergarten use your giners!
