This summer, I'll be holding an art a booth that I'll basically be getting a VERY large wad of money from. I would like to spend the money going one way or the other. The options I've given myself, is upgrading my PC that runs all my software very well to a macbook....OR buying an Intous4 large.
Can anybody give me reason why I should choose one over the other?

Intuos.
Laptops are terrible for doing digital art on anyway. Macbooks (and Macs in general) are incredibly overpriced and harder/more annoying to upgrade than PCs. Why buy an entirely new computer when yours already works fine?

Very true, Viridis. I guess the only thing I use my PC for is art anyways.
Thanks for the responses guys. I think I'm going for the Intuos. :P

I would reconsider getting the large Intuos, and maybe get the medium instead.
I find the large to be TOO large, and many friends of mine actually only use the central portion of theirs because they've discovered the same thing.
I requires your whole arm to draw on a pad that big.
After a while, it's kind of exhausting.
Whereas, the medium pad is more about drawing with your wrist, very comparable to drawing in an average sized sketchbook.

@DSillustration; you are right, but some (like me) find the smaller sizes causing definately more wrist problems. And I'm usually painting larger formats, so I'm used to larger and longer strokes. Just wanted to add that there are two sides of the medal, because I love my Intuos4 L :D

I think I know what your saying about too large, DSIllustration but I'm partially with Arestocrat. Although, how large is just the 'large' one compared with the extra large? Because arm strokes are actually what I'm aiming for. lol
