I really need to get myself a good sized scanner, I have read that the Mustek A3 scanner is good for the price. The only problem is I live in Canada. They do not ship here, Newegg.com has it for $159.99 which is really good. My question is, could there be a way for me to some how order, and get it shipped here? Anyone know of a way, thanks.

Look for it on other sites that allows international shipping. I checked Amazon.com and they have a same price for the same scanner you're interested in. They also allow international shipping.
Hope it helped you.

Go to Plustek.com and check out their OpticPro A320 scanner.
It's in the US$450+ range, but it's better than the Mustek, from what I've heard. The Mustek is slow and the software is terrible.
I'm getting that next week.

I've been looking into the Mustek myself, and according to the reviews it can be a real hit 'n' miss product.
Pros:
- The hardware is great
- It's a good size
- The price is nice
Cons:
- The software sucks
- It can be a pain to install
- If you use a Mac the scanner is borderline useless.
My final decision is that it'll still be a good purchase for me and I'll probably pick it up this month (once I set aside the cash). I don't use a Mac, I doubt it'll be the hardest thing I've ever installed, and I always do my image editing and adjustments in GIMP.
But for others it may not be so great, if you like sparks and whistles it's definitely a case of "you get what you pay for" and if you have a Mac you should avoid it like the plague.

It's not a big deal to me if the software is bad, there are bucket loads of other software to get out there. I tried Amazon.com, but it says they can not ship to my location, darn. I got to find another site, or something.

Are there any electronics stores within Canada you can contact? If you have a local store, you might be able to talk to them and have them special order it for you.
