I'm currently in my second semester at FIT for General Illustration. I got accepted to CCA for Illustration, but backed out at the last minute. I want to stay at FIT for two years to gain my associate degree/save some more money and then transfer to CCA for animation.

My best friend goes to CCA for animation now and she will be giving me reviews as she goes along but I wanted to know if any of you lovely folk have studied or heard good/bad things about the program and college in general!

Thanks!

If you search various forums, most people think highly of the program.

I am currently in CCA in illustration, but I have a couple of friends on the animation programs. specifically I heard from two guys two very different stuff. One of them loves the program, thinks the teachers are really good focusing on quality and exploring all kinds of approaches and techniques. My other friend is thinking about transferring to a more industry-oriented school, since he thinks they don't teach up-to-date programs and lack more competitive skill building. Both of them have very good work so I don't know, it's up to you at the end, I guess.

Yeah, I asked another student who also said the computers/programs weren't up to date...but I really value good quality/exploration over up-to-date programs.
Thanks!
