Here's a cover I did for the fantasy RTS 'Warlords Battlecry III' from Infinite Interactive. There were a couple of minor changes made by the publisher after I delivered the work, but unfortunately I don't know who that was to give them credit also.

I would really love any comments you have (except for on the logo, I didn't design that).

Thanks :)

It's a nice pin-up. But it looks to me that the hero's legs should be incinerated.

I agree with Miau, the logo is really annoying, it's just... too bright :P it makes the picture less intresting to look at, I think you should show us the picture without the logo, it would do huge differents.

Yeah, the logo is placed wrong, sadly, it covers too much of that nice dragon. My only crit is that the figure is kind of wonky, his shoulders and especially his left knee/leg are off, but hey, I couldn't draw a dragon that cool, so... I love the colors, esp. the clouds. Good one! - mh

I thought UBI software did Warlords. Maybe it was the turnbased version. I used to play it on the amiga back in the day. It was nice how you could be so many different armies on the map and such. I think maybe Beet did some paintings for it.

So, this is a RTS version?

Anyways, maybe I'd make the logo a bit more... fat... an outline maybe, it doesn't stand out much now.
The hue of the sky doesn't really match the yellow ambience somehow.
Torso looks a bit 'fat'. maybe because the arm is flattened angainst the chest in an almost unatural angle. The chest and belly doesnt seem to be flat either, the torso is more like a cylinder.
The general appearance of the cover is quite eyecatchy though with the strong alarm colors.

thanks for all the great feedback everyone :)

Prom: Yes, Ubi was the publisher for most of the warlords line, and the developer was SSG. This year Infinite Interactive, headed by Steve Fawkner split from SSG to form a new company. We now continue the Warlords line with Warlords IV: Heroes of Etheria (The latest turn based version) and Warlords Battlecry III (the latest real-time) will be out Q2 2004.

Thanks for your feedback on the piece, I really enjoy all your work so it's great the get your thoughts on it. I'm not familiar with Beet though, can you give me a link?
