Heh, well my SP isn't much of a gallery contribution as such but I figure it's pretty good considering that it was just a couple of months since I first grabbed a pencil with the intent of learning to draw. Why did I decide to do this? I happened to stumble on conceptart.org for the first time that's why.

I'd show you something older I've drawn so you could see the difference but I haven't saved any drawings or things like that.
I can't tell you how inspirational this community has been to me. I'm doing my mandatory military service at the moment so I hardly have any time to draw but I do it as often as I can. And even though I know I've got a looong way to go before I can draw a decent SP, I just have to check out conceptart to stay inspired and motivated to keep going.
Everyone here are amazing but special thanks to Andrew Jones and Jason Manley for what they've done here. You are both awesome sources of inspiration. And I sure hope they read this at some point :p

Don't you EVER let it go. I've started to draw just like you, and seems like I have very long way ahead to what I would like my drawings to look like, but those guys here are making it happen to me.
I'll look for you in the next class Jason will put up.

try doing faster drawings, it will help you figure out what makes the head looks as it does. Instead of doing a slow outline around teh head and centering everything slowly around it. grab the pencil and flip out. EH i'm not the best teacher :\

hey mattias, your drawing is nice and clean. if this place has really gotten you interested in drawing. i really suggest checking out oblios works in the main guest SP section. that dudes hardly been drawing at ALL and he's kicking a$$, all from working everyday and posting. i recommend you start pumping some out because we can all encourage each others work. Doing a SPOD a can help you a lot, but posting them can too.:D feedback from everyone here can be a good investment of your time. good luck. pop some more Portraits in here:chug:
