Hm, it kind of looks in this piece like you're focussed with trying to realistically render the characters, yet sacrificing motion and gesture in the process. One method I'd suggest is re-drawing the poses you've got the two guys in, yet with their gestures way more exaggerated, maybe even to the point of bending the rules of anatomy. Having the motion too exaggerated is better than no motion at all, I suppose. The composition isn't that bad, but it could be way more dynamic, like if there were more action going on and some background elements. Hope that helps.
