well,finally i've started working on my full colour illo for thunderdome.this is the preliminary sketch.it's pretty hard doing this foreshortning thing,but i've set myself the challenge of mastering it.

cant really say the piece moves me, i think you need to flesh out his character a bit more, add some props, give him sofe life. Right now hes way too bland.

thanx.right now i'm just checking for anatomy and perspective issues.anything you notice in that direction?

yes. looks like you had trouble with his left arm. i think it still needs some placement work. it is shaped oddly..maybe try showing less of the forearm. it looks too flat, like an optical illusion. hope that helps.

i'd make the left knee larger to show that it's closer to us.

Actually, the whole area around the legs and belly are pretty...off.

I might get flamed for this but here is something to try. Before you start a pic, look around the internet for a reference that is similar. Then do a freehand of it, and develope that.
If you don't know how to draw it I see no real shame in getting help. Just don't do a paintover.
