Invisible Hand of the Philanthropist is looking for a few talented local artists for a fundraising event. This is similar to the Kaiser Half-marathon for cancer where runners would sign up as volunteers to raise funds for cancer patients. But instead of running, you'll be doing a painting. And instead of cancer patients, the funds will go directly to a nonprofit of the artist's choosing. It is a free-style painting, and the theme revolves around "charity" and "the economy." All paintings are to be completed by the end of February. Your painting will be displayed and sold/auctioned off on 3/21/10 at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Foster City, CA.
Because we have more than expected organizations participating in this event, we are looking for additional artists. Your artwork will be displayed prominently on our site for a few weeks prior to the auction date. If you are an artist, we encourage you to show off your talents to your friends, nonprofit organizations, media, and our corporate sponsors at this event.
