A++ really good artwork here. Drawing characters of age, race, size, and sex is really hard sometimes, but you pulled it off....good job.

Real strong lines. I Love the faces and hands. I also agree with Sok N. Wett. It's nice to see varied characters. Lets have some colour. :)

Wow I really like your style. Kinda looks like the style of art from Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust abit. Did you partially ink anyone of them by chance??

awesome stuff. Theyre all nicely done. The stances really reflect their personality well compared to what they look like. I like it.

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like my stuff!
No, Kresimir, I haven't inked any of it yet, although I think I might eventually. Right now it's all pencil.
And the comparison to Vampire Hunter D is quite a compliment!
. . . Unless you mean that they look like Wearwolves. . . . Because they're not suposed to look like Wearwolves. . .

Anyway, Dutch Badass, I'm glad you like the old guy, cause here are a few more geezers!

I'm definetely going to color all these sooner or later, but I have some more characters to draw in pencil first before I can break into the old Photoshop. When I do color them I'll be sure to post them on the forum.

how long have you been drawing, it seems to take years to actually draw some insanley good drawings with style and life flowing smoothly out of it!
i bet you already have a job at a comic book studio.
if you want to see my drawings check out my thread i'm kinda new..and have been around for a while on this forum.

Vampire Hunter D as in style of drawing. The old man with the bat mostly reminds me of that. I don't know if you seen Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (wich you should see) but he reminds of the old man that pulls ouy that huge ass gun in the one scene. Any ways I like your new stuff too, kick ass.

Nice, nice, you can draw older folks really well. I would love to see how far you got on that comic of yours.

SIMPLY COOL!

The third pic (an old man with a baseball bat) is the best by my opinion.

Cheers!:chug:

I just graduated in December..no work for me yet

I really like your drawings, the only thing I would suggest working on is the clothing. You've got it down enough to be convincing at a glance, but if I look at it for any length of time it gets a little confusing..it's just not as solid as the rest of the drawings. nice work.

Thanks again guys!
Jetpack, what do you mean when you say the clothes get confusing? Is it any one picture that bothers you in particular? Can you give me specific examples?

Thanks.

Well, the reason I say that is because I am guilty myself of really not knowing how to do clothes terribly well. but, if you'd like me to explain further, here goes.

The first picture looks fine.

The bat weilding man's right arm seems like it needs more folds in it. It just looked odd to me, and so I put on a long sleeved shirt to check it out, and the curves when I bet my arm are more around the elbow, rather then half around, and half downward. I'm not saying you have to draw a bazillion folds, but 1 fold in the bending of the shirt like that makes it look awkward...

On the girl, she's got the 2 little lines in her midsection. It doesnt look bad, but it looks symetrical, which on further glance adds a little disbelief...

And the dude with the sweatshirt the wrinkles are just too patterned. The folds on his upper right shoulder, and the folds around his left elbow. While believable at a glace, fabric doesnt fold so consistantly like that.

All I'm saying is, (and keep in mind I felt I spotted it because I see myself doing these same things when I draw) the fabric lines, while they look like they are right, when I looked a little further they don't really look like they are wrapping around a solid three dimensional object. They seemed too uniform and arbitrary...Obviously you draw your own style, I just didn't think the quality of the clothes matched the nice quality in the faces...I hope this is what you were looking for.

Thanks man, folds are something that are always tough to figure out, and I think I've gotten a lot better recently. I'll keep your suggestions in mind and hopefully they'll help me out next time I'm drawing people.
The reason that you think my folds look too uniform is probably because I was wearing a polar fleece while I drew them, and fleeces don't bunch up all that much when you're wearing them, and they gives nice, big thick folds. Next time I'll try to wear clothes that're similar to what my characters are wearing :p

Thats definetely great, but you might want to look at the folds. Maybe they're not my style of folds but.
I'd read that type of comic anytime, just for the beautiful art, I like it, and very inspiring.
