Hey people,

I'm pretty in the blue at the moment about both of these universities, and I am yet to attend open days for them. But I was wondering if anyone currently studies Game art and design at either of these Universities? If so, whats it like?

Overall, would you say one is better than the other? Or does one contain more actualy 3d modelling and animation?

De Montfort:

Norwich:

Thanks a lot!

Carlos.

Hey there,

I study game art design at de montfort. I'm in my first year.

Checked out the link for Norwich and it seems to have changed alot since i first looked at it years ago. It mentions animation which would suggest it's more 3D oriented.

There is no animation on this course.

This is considered by those of us on it, to be an art course. Not a games art course. The 3D modelling side, in my opinion complements 2D understanding of form and light.

Personally i think this course is awesome (but then again i would say that) check out this thread for some other stuff i was saying about the course to someone else

hope that helps, any other questions let me know!
