Here is my very first (ever) selfportrait
It looks like me but it's somewhat flat... or something

I've just started with trying out some fruits- here's a pair of bananas

This one was done with reference. A drawing book I picked up at the library. The right eye is a little "dent"

Two bottles, a glass and my hand.

And then finally my attempt at "horsing around" - Tarzan in jeans and the lots - plz, easy on the sarcasm.

And that's it. Now what's next on the menu for me is anatomy. I got me an anatomy book at the library and people keep asking me if I'm going to be a doctor  I'll post in some juicy 'muscle'n'movement' pictures for you to flameberize me (no that's not a word). But hey tell me what you think.

Andrew Loomis books may help you, but practice everyday will help you too.

It looks like you have the ability there. You just need a lot of practice and anatomy studies. Watch the left eye on your portraits, They always seem to go higher than the right eye. Good luck with it.
