Interesting character and pose!

You put alot of detail on the face.
Like the sword too. Nice color design.
Maybe add a background design or gradient.

That's what happens when you use a host like angelfire that puts daily limits on the amount of bandwidth you can use...(Additionally, I'm not certain if angelfire allows for remote linking of its images these days.)

A shame too, because I've like to have seen this one.

Yesterday, I had to reload this image because my ftp site is a dick. Can it be seen now?

Yup, I can see it - not what I was expecting at all! It looks like my Dad in a few years... assuming he does in fact live the fabulous double life of a chemical engineer by day, samurai by night...!

I like how this is coming along btw. The eyes and the face have been really well drawn and are ful of personality. The rendering on the mustache and eyebrows appears a little flat though, possibly from the linework and lack of shading in the eyebrows. Also, the shirt has some nice dynamic shading, which feels more ambiguous in the pants. I guess solidify the shading would be my advice.

Woo hoo!

Thanks for the input Willow. The hair is my next problem to be tackled. Then fix the shadows and I think I want to sharpen the eyes.
