This is my first post, and I have been watching for a long time now. Finally freed up some time in the day to learn what I love. I want to learn how to draw from my head and boost my motivation. I want to be able to maybe in a few years draw like Frank Cho! So please help me on my journey.!

Heres some of my starting stuff, I went to one life drawing class!! And there is some bridgeman studies - but i find him quite confusing. I am trying to learn about the upper body! tips and help appreciated thank you!

for starters, start using reference, and study, there are no other cheep tricks put there =P

don't hesitate to use reference, i made that mistake once, now i'm sketching and will do so till i get things the right way. references teach a lot, you got nice stuff going on there, post more =)

Keep studying and practicing. I've noticed that many of your sketches look rather lopsided. Try turning your page upside down now and then and you'll easily be able to see when this is happening.
Another thing you might try is to start with a blue line (or any light color that graphite will mark over) before trying to tighten things up with pencil or pen. It's like getting two tries instead of one. Besides, having an underdrawing will help you to spot quickly which areas need adjustment, which can then be made on your second pass. Animators do it all the time and they're pros.
