.......and three other dudes
....Jamesy, Moninja, dvolution, Richardo
edit: Ummm....Moninja, the pentacles of 5 is full so you have to choose another lesser arcana card. My 10 of wands was also taken and I switched that to 3 of pentacles.

We're gonna go with a sci-fi theme with our cards. Here's a few character sketches for the 3 of pentacles which is supposed to be an apprentice that just made something kewl. He'll probably be finishing off some machinery of some sort......probably a robot.....

The background is kinda wack so that might change. I was planning on making Death in the same pose because I was thinking about that composition before this one, so I'll go with something different instead.

Nice idea! I would love you going for a super polished look with mostly white surfaces and some neon colours thrown in. It'll look awesome either way though.

Janos- That would look pretty sweet. I'm not sure how I want the metal to look yet, but I'll definitely have that idea in mind. We were looking at a bunch of space books before deciding on the sci-fi theme like "Alien Race" and "Exodessy", so I might have to see something that catches my eye when I go through those books again.
Here's some progress from tonight. I still have a lot of issues to figure out in terms of design, but I kinda like how the lighting is so far.

started doin some sketching for I The Magictian. Since our theme is sci fi im doin what I think a mage would look like in the future. Im either goin for an outdoor, him casting a spell version, or indoor sitting version. For inside I was playing with him having armor or robes, and giving him kind of a high class scientist look. I want him in a room filled with devices, and everything to have a magic and tech look at the same time. I keep thinking stuff used long ago but with a future twist. Engines powered by magic and things like circut boards covering the armor. Ill have to get alot of referance. For outside its the same deal, but him casting a spell, with some soret of landscape in the background, and maybe him destroying a space ship or something.

A sci-fi mage would be pretty kool. As for the outfit I think we were going for an under armor look, so definitely keep that in mind (actually, I dunno if that's true...I've got to look and see what the others are doing and confirm that....). Hopefully we can meet up soon as school starts back up this week as I'm looking forward to what everybody has so far.

My bad on this taking so long, but here is my progress thus far on the Six of Swords. Right now I'm unsure if I'll have the other two swords either in two additional robotic arms, or stabbed into various environment elements. Since the card is supposed to represent the overcoming of obstacles I'm going to have heaps of robot/alien wreckage around him.

The last design reminds me of this sucker (http://paizo.com/image/product/catalog/RKH/RKHSCLV01_500.jpeg). I love the designs for the dirz so I love your design as well and yours is a lot more si-fi so I see no problem.
Keep going guys!

So I kinda sat back and decided the design I was going with sucked and wasnt what I wanted so I started over and made it better. I think ill be pretty happy with this one even though I have a few more ideas. heres the rough sketch, let me know if u guys see any anatomy issues with it or anything.

Moninja- This composition is way radder than the other version dewd. The index finger looks strange, but other than that I'm looking forward to seeing the final painting man.
I'm not done with it yet, but I'd like to start on Death sometime tomorrow. Any crits are kewl.

Heres some more work...hope I can finish in time, not sure if ill have time to do wands but this will be done for sure. Gota say I rly like the brush strokes on yours james, wish mine started out that clean instead of the mess mine do. You should get some reflection goin in that galvanized metal. Having trouble pulling off my guys left leg, its suppose to be knee to foot, like hes one foot on a chair (only way I can think to explain it).

I was finally able to get back to this piece and finish it up (I think....). I won't be able to do the Death card in time due to school, but making this piece was fun.
