For anyone who might be interested:
I recently made a video interview with painter Michael Kareken who is having a big show of his paintings at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. He makes large painterly realist paintings of scrap metal, glass and paper that are truly amazing. The video is on my blog Painting Perceptions (http://paintingperceptions.com/?p=978). My blog primarily looks at Contemporary representational painting of all types but tends to center around work that is either done from observation or has the look of having been painted from life.
I also recently interviewed some stellar painters such as Sangram Majumdar, Eric Aho and George Nick that some people here may find of interest.
Enjoy.
