Tablet For Windows Vista

I seem to have had some problems with my current tablet G-Pen 450, it simply doesn't want to react on any computer with Windows Vista. So I decided to get a new.
What could you recommend that would by garantee work for the Windows Vista software? I've used a tablet a couple of times when I had trial for both Photoshop and Painter 11, and now that I have Painter 11 permanent, it sorta annoys me that doesn't work... :er:

Wacom Intuos...any size you're comfortable with or can afford. Just remember to install the drivers...tablets are not plug-n-play.

I did install the driver on my current, it still doesn't want to react :S

Wacom Intuos is too expensive for my purchase, too... :(
