this is for a school yearbook and im looking for some suggestions, critiques, advice ect.. they want as many colors as possible and im thinking of highliting the clouds in oranges, pinks, reds? i'm very new to color so im not sure what to use. also i'm thinking of 'painting' over the eagle so it blends in better. thanks for looking!http://img7.photobucket.com/albums/v18/osmus/cover_copy.jpg

What a weird thing to say -- 'I want as many colors as possible'

Use as many colors as you need but don't put extra ones in unless you have a use for them.

What is the design about? What are you trying to depict?

they want a theme of acheivement and/or succes using a hawk. i just let it paint itself and came up with clouds. this is actually my first digital painting

I was taught that when designing in 2d you should stay away from placing visually "heavy" elements directly in a corner such as the eagle is. As a rule your eye is drawn to corners anyway so you dont need to place something there for attention.
