here my wip on my thunderdome final piece... the big guys is loosey based on the baby faced guy from the thunderdome fight scene in mad max movie

Check your proportions, your anatomy is off.
The easiest to spot are his short, short arms.

thanks for your feedback... damn i didnt even notice that till u pointed it out... what about he coloring? not so much as the anatomy... thats the place im having trouble learning in painter...

i am liking the colors, just keep going forward.
the problem area i see his the wrist/skull/hand area you have painted. the skulls are not working very well in my opinion. maybe putting them in at a different angle or something .. either way, keep at it, it is looking like a good start.

A general rule in painting (but nothing is set in stone), is to knock in a basic foundation for the whole painting before taking on all the details. This lets you figure out the overall tonal structure, color scheme, lighting, and mood, before you get too deep into an image. Not everyone works this way (ie Alex Ross, and Brian Despain), but if you haven’t tried it, you might want to give it a shot. It can save you time and frustration.
