Hi! I use to post in the sketch & doodles forum, this is my first post here. I started modelling recently because of my studies -i´m an art student-. Just a little exercise. coming along nicely, would be cool if u could show us some progress as go along if u intend to make it a whole head- whats the material?

very nice ! reminds me of an exercise we use to have.
a) model your partners' eye area in 1:1.
b) model your own ear WITHOUT visual reference. No mirrors allowed, only touch at 1:1.

Thanks for your comments, i´m glad you like it.

This exercise was something similar to what you said, egerie: I have to model parts of my face for the sculpture lessons. I used a mirror for reference. I also have modeled my nose, I´ll post photos of it -and my real nose- when I have time.

The material is clay. I started modeling the clay with my fingers when it was wet. Once it was dry I continued working it with a cutter (is that the word?) and a ball pen. I like the effect, some people told me it looks like wood.
