Supplies off craigslist..

I am curious if anyone snags art supplies off Craiglist? Any good buys, bad buys, things to beware of, etc?

While waiting for things to compile at work I have been sifting through posts and have been trying to haggle someone down on a bundle of "brand new" art markers. My position being I'm a little wary of paying shy of full price for something I am not certain are in the condition they said, stored right, and what not.

I also found someone who had a small acrylic set they were looking to offload. Sure.. why not! I haven't gotten into physical mediums so why not test the waters?

Well when you go to pick them up ask to see if you can test the markers; if they really want to get rid of them, they shouldn't mind. I've done more selling then I have buying from Craig's List, I've found it to be an easy way to make a few bucks off something I just want out of my house (books, dvds) and whatever I don't see just goes to Goodwill. If you can get photos what you're buying and if you don't feel safe going to someone else's house, bring someone with you.
