Looking for sculpting Help

Im having trouble figuring out a few things. Here is a little list if anyone can guide me in the right direction

-Creating overlapping skin
-bumps and skin texture

What is recommended for smoothing. I have 70% rubbing alcohol, I see quite a few people using 90%?

First of all, what material are you sculpting in? It makes a big difference to some sculpture techniques.

I mixed super sculpey with sculpey 3. Kinda like what smellybug did to make it grey
