Finally I found a time to dump some of my sketches into the forum.
I've been drawing since I could remember, but I haven't a special training I always maintain it like a hobby.
This is the first time I post my work in a forum and the reason i'm doing this is cause I really want to get better on drawing. I've been lurking in the web and founded some interesting book of anatomy and how to draw so I have some experience on this.
Things I would like is fix some issues on my drawing, like shadows, feet, hands, etc. I already have some time lurking in the forum for tutorial and so.
So feel free to critic my work, I would love to know what people think of my work and how I could betterfied it.

These are a great starting point! I like the last one, it's a great concept.
Have you been practicing anatomy drawings? When I'm not doing anything else, I like to practice specific body parts (hands/feet/noses/etc). My weakness is noses so I tend to try to draw those more often.
Post more! I'd like to see some of your quick rough sketches!

Hello again, and damn I was going to update yesterday but I got some problems trying to scan my images.
Thx for the response, yeah I sometimes practice the anatomy of the body by looking in some tutorials or anatomy books.
I've been sketching some faces and trying to put them in different position and practice some shadows but didn't have the results that I wanted -.-. BTW I also draw a sort of tengu creature that I saw in the newspaper, it actually took my attention cause the picture is from a Venezuelan artist and the similarity to Japanese creature was the most interesting thing. Despite the fact that the suppose to represent the present Christmas spirit in our country, maybe is just a coincidence but it still looks alot like the demon, i'll post the reference so you know what i'm talking about the name of the artist is Abilio.

Is back to basic for me, I've been practicing again the face anatomy but this time part by part starting with noses and eyes. To guide me I'm using the one of the book of anatomy from George B. Bridgman, constructive anatomy.
I've founded really helpful and i'm using some of what I learned on some unrelated sketch. I also am trying to get use to my genius wizzardpen 4X3. But got damned I really suck at it I don't know its me or the tablet but I made lots of horrible sketches, but I manage to some decent ones. I really need a tips with the digital tablet I found it harder then using a pencil and an piece of paper.
BTW c&c.

Your doing a great job with your characters. I'm wondering if you draw a skeletal frame or gesture drawing as a starting point for of your characters?

shambok: hey thanks :D. Yeah I use gesture drawing to start my drawings, I like to determine the pose that I'm gonna use and then I detail it more.
Here is some more updates, its some faces made from my mind.

Keep on going! Some of those hand studies looked really good. The only real way to get better at drawing things you've imagined is to practice by drawing things you see. Practice drawing your own hands, nose, ears, and other body parts, or see if you can get some friends to sit still.
Additionally, when you do, draw what you see and not what you know. In other words, instead of looking at a nose and trying to make a drawing of a nose, just draw the different tones, shapes, and lines that make up that object and their relation to one another. If that makes any sense.
One way to practice that with full-body poses is to go into a public place and draw people walking. If you can only draw the very basics of their form, and not get caught up in the details, you'll quickly develop a more comprehensive understanding of how the human figure moves and is organized.

Shambok: thx, i'll try to post more often :P
Lalu: Thx, and don't worry I'm always practicing and trying to get better.
Excuse me for the late update, but I've been really lazy on scanning things since my pc takes an eternity to scan, btw I think I'm progressing a little using some tips and hints from some post. These are some drawings that I did I think a week ago I'll post more recent work later.

Whoa you come up with a lot of cool ideas! My only critique is you should work on your line quality and line weight. It would make your drawings a lot more interesting and polished.
To start you should sharpen your pencil often to get a sharper point. This way you won't lose any details from a thick pencil. The next thing you can do is use variety in the value of your lines. Right now your lines are mostly the same value, but if you darkened them a bit then your drawings would pop (but remember to do the underdrawings lightly first). Finally you can use variety in line thickness (which requires sharpening your pencil). For example, interior lines are generally lighter and thinner than exterior line which are thicker and dark. Of course lighting also affects lines.
Anyways I don't know if you're already aware of these tips, so sorry if I'm repeating things, but hopefully they give you some ideas. Your lines aren't bad, but they can be better with practice. Just keep it up!

Glad it did!
Anatomy anatomy and then some more anatomy! the more of that you do the easier and more natural your poses will become. One of the main focus of the old masters was anatomy ... thats why they rocked so hard!!! Keep up the great progress!
