My roomate was talking to me about colors and lighting. He was telling me that there are alot of colors that come out in certain light. So i took a photo and tried to find those colors.

This is what happen.

wow that's really nice. is it Adriana Lima, the victoria secret model? I painted her once before to. I'd show u but how can I put the picture on the post itself. I can link it, but how do I get it right on here. how'd u do it?


the painting I did of her is on Metal with urethane enamels. did u do this in photoshop?

I think you've completed your mission the colors are fine, but I think you could increase the definition of th picture, in some areas (the shoulder).

hola,

just thought i'd say something real quick. i agree with your roommate that you notice a lot more colors while looking at pictures. this is because you have more time to sit down and analyze, the lighting isn't going to change on you. but the other thing you have to remember is that those are in photographs taken as is. in the picture you drew this from, i believe it is from VS, the lighting is controlled as with most model photographs. they are using many different sources to light this picture, so it isn't as it would naturally appear. i think you have a good idea on studying colors and lighting, but i think you should try to find some photos that have more of a "natural" light or just as you would actually see it if you were there.
