Found this quick video of someone explaining one of Charles Bargue's paintings from a compositional aspect. I figured I'd share it, since I find this a bit more informative than the reading on composition I've done.
Enjoy!

wow, I never knew that people put that much time and planning to come up with these paintings, and I was watching other videos by the same person and holy crap. It almost seem like they spent more time doing the planning out the painting then actually painting, that how root2 thing seem to make the painting like 10x more complex, then it needed to be, lol but who am I to say anything, these guys were masters of there time.

Which actually makes a whole lot of sense in most cases.

the description of short composition can be used to describe any film that has a duration longer than one minute and shorter than 15 minutes.the north american definition also tends to focus much more on character whereas the european and australasian forms.
