Big Brush Problem CS3 – Help!

Photoshop CS3 crashed and after restarting the comp (iMac) all my brushes look like this. The first image is how the brushstrokes look. The second one is a zoom in.

Anyone ever seen this before? Is there any way to reset photoshop without reinstalling the software. All help greatly appreciated.

Ok, I figured it out.

(shift–alt–cmd on startup and click yes to delete settings)
