I've noticed recently that my skills are just dropping. It could be from any number of things but it's really getting to me. For weeks I'll do (in my standards) really really well, but then I'll just miss a step and fall down the stairs. It's almost like I'm two or three years behind myself.
Does anyone have any idea on how I can work through this? Has anyone else gone through these kinds of ups and downs? I have to say that I'm horribly frustrated. :(

maybe it's cos you're drawing too much and trying to be good and get better and drawing the same stuff and getting sort of clogged. in my opinion, you need to stop drawing for a couple of days, then when you feel the creativity build up, sit down and draw something different, preferably from life. do a couple and you should start to warm up a bit. see if that helps anyway. good luck!

Yeah, I went thru it also. My problem was lack of inspiration. My work got sloppy and "clogged" like catterpillar said. Maybe read a good book, or listen to some music?

I can't really say anything about drawing, but one of the things I do is being a graphic designer, and I also create digital art through my photography and manipulation, and some days it just doesn't work out, it can last anywhere from a week to a month. Usually it's lack of inspiration like someone else here said, and frankly, if you don't have any interest or joy in doing what you do it's not going to be any good. In my experience anyway.
