That b/w environment at the top is really deliciousss...great composition. Awesome abstract stuff too. This one (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=859610&stc=1&d=1261276365) is really impressive.
I know this one (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=857956&d=1261096056) is from a while ago, but the shadows seem bit mushy. Especially because he's so humongous i think the values could be clearer like in your environment studies. Would be more convincing if you incorporated some atmospheric perspective or complementary colors too yah. :)
Keep going!

lots of good stuff going on. i like the looseness of the lines in your pencil work. cross that sensibility over with your texture and color play in the environments and you'll be a beast ;p
keep up the good work!

thank you very much for the kind words, guys :7up: :7up:
yihyoungli: youre absolutely right. that picture suffers a lot from the fact that i made a sketch and decided to just say 'fuck it' and dive right in without any real planning, and it shows. it's a really messy and unprofessional process and as much as you try to fix it in the later stages, in the end you end up with dull values, color, and composition. gotta learn to be more patient, but unfortunately patience is not one of my virtues when it comes to drawing.
it's been a while since i updated, mainly because my ancient scanner broke and i had no money to buy a new one. yesterday i turned 21 however and today i had money again to buy a new one, and it works awesomely. scans literally 10 times faster than my old one and with much better quality
here are some bridgman arm studies and random no ref sketches that i have done in the meantime

hey guys. been slacking a lot, but here are two little pictures i made for a friend a week or so ago. one little face study and a portrait of sorts. the proportions are really bothering me now and as you can probably tell i got lazy in the finishing stage, but i'm just going to let it be and hopefully learn from my mistakes. thanks for looking.

damn there's some serious stuff i here!!! Your doodle-like figures and faces are very, very interresting.
You seem to be marking highlights and shaded areas as your line flows, if that's unintentional it's awesome, if it's intentional it's a very very smart move, it makes the drawings so rich in information. Either way, keep doing it!!!

Nice skecthes, I love the details you add especially the old man's face in post #16. The red-blue girl is very nice too, perhaps a bit more contrast around her eyes would help. Keep it up!
