HEY GUIZE.
There is an activity on facebook I'd like to mention. Chase Bank is donating $25,000 to each of the top 100 charities and non-profits that receive your votes online. nothing from you, no donation required. nada. nothing fishy, it's through a large national bank's community outreach program.
You do have to "allow access" for the app on facebook. and, for some reason, you also have to "become a fan" for the app to work properly.
A friend of mine worked at Street Level Youth Media in inner-city Chicago through the national Americorps program. He spent three years teaching video production and media skills to inner city youth and made a huge difference in their community. Unfortunately, their center was destroyed in a fire last year and they're currently rebuilding it. This contest would help them out tremendously.
here's the link to vote to Street Level Youth Media.
http://apps.facebook.com/chasecommun...arities/781156
When you use the app, you're automatically given 20 votes to use as you please. look for something worthwhile in your own communities too--in times like these every little bit can help keep these programs and services running and available. Please consider giving one of your 20 votes to Street Level and do some good in your own community.
DO IT!!!!
you do need to be a US resident to vote though. rules and regulations...
