This was fun getting it to this stage....but i cant seem to get much more depth into it. i tried a couple times and went back to the save.

any lighting or depth tips?

hey i think you have a great start here... at this point you have your base color in, and a little bit of the shading done.. now its time to add some highlights, and push the darker shades.. dramatic lighting to use a worn term. and with that you can start bringing in some textures

Other ways of creating depth:

Thick and thin linework. In general anything thats coming forwards should have thicker (stronger) linework.

If your not using linework, Play with the contrast. More contrast on foreground objects and less or background objects.

Warm and cold colours. In general warm colours come forward and cool colours recede. eg look at an image of some mountain ranges, usually cool colours AND low contrast on the furthest mountains. Add some more blue into the receding areas.

PLay with your colours and contrast.
