I found this link to a tutorial Prometheus prepared at the bottom of one of his posts and decided to give it a go.
Here's the link:

(hope Prometheus doesn't mind)

I tried to follow the tutorial and also emulate some of Prometheus' style to see how I went.

I'm really looking for constructive criticism because I want to get better at colouring.

Here is my first attempt:

The problems I can see are the limited colour palette- too many blue grey things. I tried to include other colours, from red to green and yellows but they all seemed to clash...any help?

My next attempt will be to build from the colour I've got but get rid of most of the linework and try to build the form with tone.

It doesnt look like his style really. What makes me love his work so much is the suggestion in his strokes. each one is placed perfectly so he doesnt have to draw everysingle thing out, but when you look at the image it appears to be there.

hey expat, for the most part, i think you've got a good start.
if you trying to bring my eye to her crotch, cell phone and face, then the basic principles are in order...you've got the color in places you want to draw the eye, and you've got (to some degree) less lineweight on areas that arent as important. The coloring is a bit unco-ordinated, maybe try a smaller pallette? but technical wise, its seems sound.

it may not be a prometheus, but ...dammit...who the hell can say they can draw like prometheus anyways right?
