Thanx everybody and first let me apologize for my wanky arms some of those sketches are kinda old. I'm still drawing everyday trying to improve so the wanky arms will be a thing of the past. And to feels thanx for the comparison to travis I love his work but a have a long way to go before I'll get anywhere near his greatness.

yeah, looks like Travis Charest's work except not as good.

it looks to me like your trying to emulate someone elses style instead of developing your own, and unfourtunately its very clear who's style your trying to emulate. his style is very clean and finished, and it seems to me that your trying to draw clean and finished work as your first step sometimes.

hell, i dont know how to say this without sounding like a real dick, but it almost looks to me like your drawing his drawings. your not doing a bad job, (in fact, your doing damn good) its just that i think you could be a great artist if you would start working on your own style.
(then again, for all i know this is your "tests" at a different style, and you have your own already. if this is the case, ignore me.)

Ok lets see where this goes. Josh- First I have to say that Travis Charest is an incredible artist. Any body would be hard pressed to better his drawing ability. And yes I'm influenced by his work but when you say that I'm trying to emulate his style and that I'm drawing his drawings couldn't be further from the truth. One of the most important things is that we were both influenced (Charest and I) by one of the greatest comic book arstist of our time Jim Lee. It is a disservice to all artist to say or imply that being influenced by another is some how wrong or bad. No matter who you are every artist has other artist that they admire or are influenced by uncluding you Josh.
