Hi I got my tablet around the start of this year but never used it much, its a basic bamboo tablet I was just wondering if someone could guide me on how to begin to draw scenery like many of the things I see on the site. I may also be doing art next year for year 11 in school and I want to pickup some things before I start classes.
I'm quite frustrated on how to just start, I can sketch out a scene but i don't know how to put some depth into it and which brushes to use. I've already had a look at some guides and fiddled with the Opacity and Flow and stuff on my brushes but I just can't get the right effect like I see everyone else get. :S
Thanks in Advance.

Well... I spent about 1 hr just doodling in photoshop and looked up some guides and stuff on brush settings etc etc... I think I actually got a promising result from my latest attempt. its still in black and white and I don't know how I will go about fixing things up like the tree bark or the person that wandered into the grove.

I've put in a light source (gap in the leaves in the trees) and tried to keep it in the correct perspective. If someone could gimi some advice on how to go about fixing it up that would be great :)
In my opinion its looks really messy <(-3-)>
well... this is it after I colored it... I didn't know how I should go about cleaning it up... :S please give me some advice on how to improve this? T.T

I tried to give it a isolated look with a lost school boy, but the tree in the middle sorta resembles warmth or hope~ :P.
Anyway please give some advice on how to improve this and what I've done wrong.
Thank You All In Advance!!!
Cool if someone could like monitor my progress and give me tips and stuff >.> lolz
