just something i was working on, i like the colors, but it still seems simple

It all looks rather rushed to me.

Did you use any reference? This is a landscape, so there would be tons of reference material available, find some suitable images.

Perhaps you could lay out a rough perspective grid over the pic, the hills appear flat and out of place with the water.

Good concept and interesting sky colours, but you need to plan it out abit more.

Just keep working on it.

Nice idea. This is just a suggestion, and I'm really not a great artist, so you can ignore this if you wish, but when I'm painting something I like to start off with something flat and smooth, using big, soft brushes. like I'd lay down a solid color for the sky, for the land, and for the water, maybe with a little bit of highlights, but starting off without much detail and consideration of lighting. Then I start putting textures and highlights and stuff. And making things more detailed/crisp. I'd make the sky fluffier(?) if that makes sense, it looks a little odd as is.
Phew... okay, NOW you can ignore it.

thanks for the help guys, i was just going to forget about this piece, but maybe i should work on it some more. You're right, i was really rushed, i just had the idea and wanted to get it down fast, before i forgot, i'll take some time and see if i can clean it up
