I'm really liking your more lose sketchyness in the first round of sketches.
I also really dig your inked ninja! You should do more in that hatchy style :chug:

thanks guys.
Sammy-I love the old great illustrators like Franklin Booth, Joseph Clement Coll, Charles Dana Gibson, Flagg...and on and on. But lately my figures havent been good enough for me so i put the pen down and been doing more figure studies. But I somehow, some way Love HATCHING! And I like to draw Straight out in Pen....no Pencils first.
The first image I am posting was drawn out in pen with no pencils.

Edwin,
Nice job, especially on the costumes on your figures (the fellows on the most recent page really got me). One thing you might want to try is using curved lines in your hatching that follow the contours of the body or clothing. That drawing of the ninja is very nice, but all the straight, overlapping lines flatten it out and it loses some of its power.
As far as the playboy goes, you use what you can find. Nice drawings thereof.
Sincerely,
Chris

Ooh, ooh! Much better Edwin. Those figures on the page with the big 'B' look much more solid. Keep it up!

I just wanted to see if I could do a centaur. No ref for the hose part and little on the guy. Started out as a sketch so i had no idea what to do with the hands...so i started putting in a golf club. LOL.
