hey fellers... well heres something i wipped up....at first i really liked this picture it started off great. colors and values feel into place... but when i started in with the little detail there is.....it kinda got mushy.. i think i can contributre i litle of this to the size of the pic this is the actually workign size .. i usaully.. and sure everyone else in the world works at big size than scales it down.. so the fense around the tree got very muddy trying to push the little pixels around... let me know what could be doen better.. i know theres alot ...... i got this idea from one of the pics jason manley has of a camp/village top view perspective... like that angle, so this was my go at it......thanks fellers!

this is really nice man--tha lighting feels very natural and real

i wish teh tree didnt have a huge spitwad on teh top of it--like if the tree branches were clearly defined int eh top canopy i think it would read better

Really Cool, the lighting is really awsome. Reminds me of the Village in the begining of "Legend of Legia"

i like this concept though, the athmospere is nice and the perspective is also nicely chosen...but i do not see the difference betwenn the first an the second pic...

heya. first of all, i think the foundations of the pic are good. the perspective is nice, the colour/lighting is good (if a litlle dark, but it fits the mood). What i WOULD say though, is that it isnt really 'full' enough to be a full rendered image, it looks more like a really nice cell shaded background for an rpg or something. I think the tree either needs more of a story behind it, or you need to throw some more light out to make highlights (from the tree's light).

Basically what im saying is the pic dont really show off what you can do as much as it could.
