I really ought to get more active on this site. I'll post random stuff that I do as it comes. Will try posting gestures and life drawings if I can get my scanner to behave.

I haven't been posting because of being self-conscious about my work - and also unwilling to post much of my older stuff. (I doubt I'm the first one!) I'm going to take the initiative and actually post things, even if I don't like them. Sketches from school, from home, new, old, landscapes, characters, whatever. I just need to post!

Here is something for now. I'll post more soon. =) Sorry for blurriness, pencils were taken with digital camera (no scanner) and then colored in Photoshop afterwards.

Here is a thumbnail sketch I did for class today. We have to start work on a caricature of a celebrity and I chose Conan O'Brien. (Sorry for blurry quality, no scanner yet.) This took about five minutes or so and was my favorite out of about eight I did. :)

Since you draw a lot of anthro creatures, I suggest tarting photo and life studies of different animals, their skeletons and even muscle structures. Do the same with humans too, that way you can more easily blend the two together and make for a more realistic anthro.

Thanks! Once I get out of college in a few weeks I'd really like to get into stuff like that. I plan to teach myself over the summer break, and going to the zoo with my sketchbook and a few pencils and inking pens is definitely on the menu. :)
