Ok heres the situation now I have everyone's attention.
I have been given a project brief by falmouth called
‘See-Through/Seen Through/Seeing Through’

I have to send it off in exactly ten days (everyone has ten days for the project starting from the day they receive their brief), the pieces can be no bigger than A4 and it is to be posted back.
I would love some creative input.

here is my ideas so far

Seen through- through the eyes of different people, rich compared to poor solider compared to civilian. Maybe a first person view with a hand coming out in ragged clothes, in another picture same pose but now in tux and wearing rings and watches?

Or animal eyes the world seen from a cat or dog maybe?- would be hard to translate.

Maybe a word like music or art as seen through (what they think of it it) different people and I could illusrate it?

Thats really all I have and I need some of those creative juices you guys have a sloshing

Many many thanks
Chris

The idea that jumps to my mind is one person looking through glasses at his/her reflection in a mirror. He's seeing through his glasses, which are see-through, and his reflection is seen through the mirror.

Or is that too literal? :P

Any idea is great alex. I really like the idea Im just thinking how it could be translated into a visual form.
If you have any more ideas I would love to hear them
Chris.

There's the cliche'd "Looking through a crowd at a beautiful woman who doesn't know you exist" idea. The observer is seeing through the crowd, the woman is seen and the observer is also the one who is see-through.

That would be awesome! along the same line I could use a long exposure on a camera, stand in a crowd so only I am in focus and the crowd is just a blur. hm so much to think about.
Your on a roll Alex if you have anymore ideas at any time dont forget them!

Hmm I was thinking about masks. Not necessarly in a Venice kind of way but just the everyday mask some people have/need to put on. Might be related to a Foster (?) painting.

I immediately thought of an intimate situation, on a naturally lit room, mid-afternoon. A girl is wearing thin clothing and we can see through, with the help of the light. She smiles back at the viewer, not sensually but just plain happy.

I guess it's too literal? hahaha.

see-through things are what cant be seen but expressed; like talking. words are see-through, you're seeing through those words to understand the person you're talking to, and vice versa; you're being seen through these words by that other person.

I don't know if this idea may even apply here, but how about a dude looking at his reflection through a reflection of a reflection..on and on. and maybe each one of the reflection has a slight difference showing sides of his personality.

Playing off LuckyDevil's concept, you could also do one of a person looking at a video monitor at someone with his back turned to the camera. What he doesn't realize is he's looking at his own back. You could show the camera lens and red light glow at the top hehe.

Hey guys, well the projected has been finished and was posted so now fingers crossed I get through. Just would like to say A BIG thank you to everyone. I made a massive brain storm with all your ideas and came up with the title "seeing through the boundaries" It explores the boundaries that you come across when you have a partner or friendships. I tried to express this using the canvas board as a physical boundary but also this boundary can also relate to arguments etc.

As I love human emotion it was very easy for me to get involved with the project and well I think it went very well.

Anyways here is the final.
