The winged dog deciphered here is Glasya-Labolas, he is the author of manslaughter, teacher of art and science and he can also inspire love among friends and foes.

I'm doing an illustrated book for one of my projects at school this year, I'll do the line work for the illustrations traditionally and then colour them in Photoshop or Painter.
I made one of the two following illustrations in pencil and the other one in ink, just to see what I liked best. I think the scanned in line looked best when inked and I think I'll ink the rest of the illustrations for the book as well.

The colouring on these is really simple, so I'll have time to finish all the illustrations I need to do for the book. But I might decide to incorporate a little texture into the colouring.

The last drawing here is just a 15 min sketch I did of some torsos earlier today.

Thanks for your comments Slothboy3000 and clockworksnail, glad you like it!

These are just sketches for some creatures with the head of the protagonist's girlfriend in my illustrated book.

I did an inked version of the deer sketch that I posted earlier.
I was a little dissatisfied with the flat colouring on the earlier tests for the book, so I decided to try something new.
Here I added some quick variation and texture into the colour, to add some more life to the illustration.
It is important that the colouring is quick and easy to do, because I have to do a lot of these to finish up the book.

Here's an example of the same drawing with plain colours.

This is a sketch of another creature that the protagonist of my story encounters when he's in Coma. While the other creatures there have animal bodies with the head of his girlfriend, Simone; this one has the body of Simone and the face of a goat.

I've posted these two before, but I did some modifications to the colours after getting some feedback from my supervisor.
The first image is supposed to represent the heroines dream about building a submarine out of her immense magazine collection and search for Atlantis with the Hero.
