Well, what kind of stuff do you want to draw???
I got started into drawing with a book called "How to draw Comics the MARVEL Way" back in the early 80's.
When I switched over to digital, I dropped drawing all together and went 3D (modeling/shading/rendering) for many many years, that killed my drawing skill, lol.
In the last few years I got back into Digital 2D/Animation and picked up the old copy of HTDCTMW. I use both Vector and Raster tools, Vector for the Inking (sometimes Raster) and Raster for the Color (Dodge/Burn/Alpha Selections) Depending on the style needed for the project.
But its kinda hard to give advice if I don't know what kind of art you want to produce.

And I wouldn't bump. It's kinda frowned on.

Google "drawing the female body"
I used the book "How to draw comics the Marvel way" to learn, that was way back in high school (83-84, lol) and then I also picked up a few tips from fellow artists to improve... heck you can do this here, just look over the sketchbooks and if you see something that one artist is doing that you like, perhaps ask them to post a sketch showing their steps on creating the shapes you want?

nystar, all the information you need is probably here if you search for it.
Rather than expecting people to spoon feed you the answers to your very general questions, why don't you browse around and see what you can find yourself? Check out the various sections, read the stickies, do some targeted searching, etc.
