sketchup & intuos airbrush

Does the intuos4 airbrush work with sketchup??

just downloaded the one free bit of software (corel painter sketchpad) supplied with the wacom intuos4 tablet. Its ok
But cant seem to get the intuos4 airbrush to work properly, it does not appear to support the airbrush controls.
Just wondered if sketchup did before i waist time downloading it

I think there might be a misunderstanding as to what SketchUp is. Technically you can use a tablet with the program but not as an "air brush". More like a mouse replacement.

SketchUp is actually a dirt simple 3d program that some use as a foundation for concepts. The model is usually exported as a 2d image to another application like Photoshop or Painter, where its then painted, rendered, or composited into a final work.

So if you are specifically looking for software that can use the pressure sensitivity of the tablet to paint pictures, then SketchUp is not what you are looking for. Although if you have the time I still highly recommend downloading and playing around with it. :)

Thanks for the reply my friend.
As you guessed i am new to the tablet world.
I am just wanting a fairly simple program that i can use my wacom airbrush with to some artwork.
The free downloads from wacom that came with the tablet do not allow for configuring the airbrush, just drawing with the pre selected pens & brushes.
I believe there are only a few programs that compliment the airbrush,
like adobe photoshop (a bit too intense & expensive)
and i am not too bothered about the photo side of things at the moment

I suggest you delete this thread and move it to another sub-forum (such as the software one) where people can be more supportive of your question.

Still, long story short, you can use a lot of free drawing programs to help you, and to get the pressure sensitivity you're looking for. I recommed googling around, till you find something to your taste.

Off the top of my head, I can only think of opencanvas (there is an older, free version) that will do what you want, but there are many alternatives.

Artrage has a great airbrush tool too, actually.
