The size of a large truck, it is the most delicious of the creatures on Palmer's World.

I need to do more of these to get better at quick roughs, so I limited myself to an hour total for research, design and the sketch.
I figured everyone would be doing spiders, but scorpions are arachnids too, sooo... I will be using a much smaller brush next time for the base sketch.

Anthis - That is just spot-on. Great job!
This little drawing didn't come close to my original hopes, but I like the basic design anyway. Maybe I'll do a nice version later... [ *rubs chin stubble* ]

Welp, I went ahead and made a more finished one, using a Micron® pen and Prismacolors®. I maybe lost some of the things I liked about the original (very tiny) drawing, but oh well -- anyways, some of the details are nice, I think. Took a while whilst watching [Adult Swim].

HOLY CRAP!!!! This is some awesome stuff! Anthis, as always, your sketch rocks. You so pwn the color picker. W.B.H.-Nice to see you posting in the DSG lately. That's done with Prismacolor, what? Markers? How do you blend so well. I'd love to read a tut on your techniques with ink (those pumpkin heads a while back really blew me away)!
I worked on my DSG entry forever last night. Then my final blending flattened the hell out of it. So I'll try to pop it back out again after work and post in the morning. By then the topic will be dying :(

Really fun topic! It's been a while since I've done anything but lurk around here, but I feel like the time has come to stop resisting the urge to join in.

Hello everyone, I'm new here; hoping to push my art with your help!

When I think Rhino Arachnid I immediately think horns, armor, multiple eyes and legs. This was a lot of fun to do since I find Rhinos to be really interesting and super cool looking animals, and I'm arachnophobic as well!

Gosh, amazing pictures you guys. Especially loving those bulky ones :D
skyline: Try a profile angle or 3/4 :)
Kasei: Loving your concept!
ericrgauthier I love its head, good design!
Anthis and William: You guys nailed it!
This is mine, it is more like a spider still, but it have thick armor and it rams!
I think it still needs some anatomical modification, it don't looks like it can ram with front and back legs proportion like that. What do you think?

I was originally going to try and do something sophisticated with a whip spider and one of the interestingly crinkly asian rhino species.
However, I'm going to delay that on the basis that I'm tired and in a bit of a silly mood, and thus you can all make do with this monstrocity until I get round to approaching this properly tomorrow.
