I'm still in desperate need for a decent coloring tutorial on painter 8. Felt pens are like very cheap markers and acrylic paint behaves nice but for this ackward texture that doesn't let itselve smear by the pallet knive.

Charcoal is fun however, and so is the 2b pencil. tried several painst with a sense of direction like a headless chicken running through the meadow. Still like the result.

Got bored with colors, still need to work on perspective quite a lot, however coloring things is the biggest problem.

Set up a small idea with pencil, put down the general color with an airbrush and palette knife. Finished it mildly anoyed after looking at the time needed and the result.
Didn't dare to post it, but what the heck.

Do you not know how to use the tools? Or do you not know how to color?

Im a low skilled with both. But the tools part mostly. I know what needs to be done roughly, but i can't find a way to mix the colors in a more even gradient. This posed a problem with the Car and the Magenta eyes starting at the camera makes it worse.

Tried some mixing for the gras in the back but i end up getting pretty much a one color tone. The sky is pretty much the same, even grey although i intended it to be a gradient like sky. Let me search you an example of the thing i intend to accomplish..

THe background looks like its done with reasonable ease. Red to yellow. Sammy has tons more experience but i guess it cant be that hard to get this kind of tone done?

tried airbrushing two colors in a gradient and use a pallet knife on it without much succes.
