These are nice man. Not sure how dark they are, here they seem a little light but that is probably the scan. I always liked working on Bristol, I think realistic pencils are fun. More please.

Thanks for everyones comments so far. I am working right now to finish the frog so I can post. I am about to start a portrait commission and am pretty nervous about getting all the details right and creating depth.

Well you see... there's comes a time where you can't become any better - Nah just kidding! :P I'm no expert but if you asked for my opinion... more shadows? Other than that, maybe you should try to add some colour into it. Try something new and don't just stick to the same thing :)

I love using graphite so I think after a few more of these I will start too find out what sort of coolness i can bring too them. I want to modify them and add something unusual but the wifey thinks im wierd when I do that.

hi curve, nice renderings. I think right now you are focusing too much on all the tiny details, I am not sure where to look. I believe for your next step, try pushing back some of the details and make your focal point have the post detail.
I hope this helps,
-Henry

Hey curvestudios I really like it. I think your level of detail is amazing. The values do look a little light to me in especially in the shadow areas. This may just be my monitor. If not I would suggest going darker to get a stronger contrast. That aside it is a joy to look at.

Wow that is truly awesome. Do you draw people just out of your imagination? Or do you use real photos as draft? What kind of pencil do you use?

Thanks BilderHandgemalt. I mostly draw from reference but I am sure i could wip something up from my imagination. I really like concept art but never have time to do it. The pencils I use are a conglomeration of derwents, wolf's and a few others I cant remember right now. The second half of the current drawing will be a figure of a woman. Drawing it for a client who lost his wife about a year ago.

Wow...very good technical skills there, the hair and sweater of the woman on the right are extremely well done. I agree with the other comment about losing some details to push a focal point, but thats a personal taste thing I guess...good work!
