Hi everyone,
this one is my first ever post in this forum. I got mesmerized and felt in love with this site. Surely I'm gonna be speechless in few days if I continue inspiring myself after watching most of you guys' potential.
The inspiration went into such a position that coming week I'm gonna purchase a brand new wacom I4M for myself. For the time being three cheers for "office wacom".
Hope to have comments from all you guys....
Well, this is a concept of a girl,smoking.....still is progress.....hope to have a better output in the coming week.

The portrait is pretty cool, but the matte painting is extreme. That ambient could easily go with the spirit of Resident Evil. I have just one question: did you painted that matte from zero, or is the base a photographed image and then additional painted on it?

Hi LtPlissken,
It really feels good that you've liked my work.
I used photographs from almost 6-7 different sources, but yahhh...the spider web like few objects are painted.
Hey can you tell me how I can add photograph to my thread?

When you click on the post reply button and wrote your desired message, you should scroll the screen down and find the button Manage Attachments. Click on that button and another browser screen should pop up where you should attach files from your computer. Hope this helps, if not, contact me and I will explain in more details.

this is cool but I was asking about when I'm opening sketchbook page, that time beside my name it's not showing any icon (like ur having pirate).how to manage that?
LtPlissken
December 12th, 2009, 12:38 PM
That is easy, you just post the desired image in your first post in your sketchbook. That first image will be displayed as your sketchbook main picture.
This last painting is great, good skin tones, but I am not completely satisfied with the background, I do not know why, I would pick some other background.

No problem my friend, I am glad that you are letting me to be here.
Those brush strokes are great and actually the brush itself is great. I do not like the chest. This should be a female? Because of the chest she looks like she has a body of a pumped up body builder.

Hello! I am so glad to see you back with new work, actually I am following you all the time, I am just not posting.
First of all, this guy reminds me on something between Prince and Milly Vanily.
Your brush work is good and I think that you have a great sense for color combination, however, I will go my old theory again; I am just not settled with your backgrounds. I have the feeling again that this background would not go with this guy. This could just be me, I am sorry but I feel that some other pattern would go much better with this one.
Great work, please keep posting.

Sorry, for my late reply. You do not have to thank me at all. When I have found your sketchbook, I felt that you need some encouragement and I am so glad that I could cheer you up and to motivate you a little bit at least.
There are plenty of times in my life that no one cares about my art, as a matter of fact, to be more correct, most of the time nobody cares about my art, and I do not get any feedback in my life, no one helps, no one comments no one even spares five minutes of his life to take a look at my drawing book that I leave on my table. In those moments I wonder, why am I even trying, why do I even waste my time laying down graphite on paper? Why am I torturing my eyes in front of my computer for hours to make a lousy stupid painting that no one will look?
Well, honestly I still not have any answers to these questions, but one thing I know: something is pulling my strings, something is making me to do art, even if I would try to ignore these feelings, they would disappear for a short time but then it would come back, just as a vampire's thirst.
I have no money from my art, I have nothing useful from it, I would rather play Doom or Quake but it just calls me over and over again. When I have a pencil in my hand, I have to draw, I have to put all on paper what I feel, like it's destined to be like this.
Sorry for the long nonsense talk, what I am trying to say, that if art makes you feel whole, or if you feel something similar as I do, then you should not wait for people like me to show up and to give you encouragement, you just do what your mind aids you to do, and express yourself through your art, let all your ideas hit the surface, and do not hold back even if no one supports you, which of course will never happen in your situation.
Anyway, I am glad that you are here now and I am happy that I met you. I will follow your work and I will be here to help you whenever I can.
sooooo........what are you waiting for?
keep posting :)

Hi LtPlissken,
I really feel lucky to have a friend like you in my world of art. It makes me feel so nice that you have shared your feelings with me. I don't think, you've written any single "nonsense talk"!! It's really shocking for people like us, who are trying harder and harder to create some art and nobody can spare a moment of there busy schedule to look back those stuffs. I feel critics are the best thing to learn or improve quality, for which I started my sketchbook.....but alas, I was wrong!! May be I expected something more than I deserve. Anyway we should not bother about all this facts, because art comes spontaneously from our heart, we can't keep ourselves away of it.
Actually I thought of sharing something similar to you in my last post, but I've edited those.I thought, you might get bored to read those stuffs. Now, I can tell you, because I trust you. I'm from a small city of India.....I got very less time to learn proper method of art. What ever I do it's completely based on my self invented, observed methods. I know, the proper guidance is lacking......but I'm not going to seat back and feel like a looser. I wish to go out of India and learn every aspect of art in a proper way....in some day ahead, and I'll do it!! Before that, I need help of people like you, who is not just supportive but a proper guide to me.
Let's rock with our creativity, forgetting all these pains. just remember I'm there for u....and I know, you are there for me.
GOOD LUCK,FRIEND.

Hello, my friend. Here I am, still not gave up from drawing :)
I will update pretty soon I hope.
The window painting is so great, mostly I like the color combination but the floor texture is also mega outstanding. You have pushed that painting way beyond its boundaries.
An excellent character design, female warrior I think. I would like to see more characters developed from you, cause I think that you have a great potential doing them. Now just put on some details on her and let this baby sing her warrior song.
Great, great update. Improvement is your middle name now :)
