Merhabalar,

Hey,
Good to see that that you do studies. One thing i noticed is that in many of your portraits of the girls with half of their faces covered with hair you tend to paint the visible eye too large and misplaced. sketching a full shape of the head with all featured placed (even if only roughly) first, and then adding hair on top should help solve that.
And study more anatomy.
Oh and I just noticed, after looking again at Your images, that what makes them read .. well.. not quite right, is the bluriness. Try using hard-edged brushes.
Good luck!

I'm not good so I'm no authority, but as a rule of thumb, don't follow deviantart tutorials. Check some good books instead, like Loomis, Bridgman, etc. Or get some conceptart.org videos
Also, try to work from reference or even better from life for now. Until you are really great at drawing, you shouldn't be relying in your imagination. So use reference, do studies, draw draw draw and post here. Draw more and paint less for now. Learn line and value first and foremost.
Take your reference and add, substract, repeat, mix with more reference, etc, to produce your own work. But dont do it out of your head or it will look worse, you'll reafirm bad habits, and hinder your learning process. But dont take that too seriously, above all you need to be having fun drawing or you wont do it.

Your paintings are improving, the one from post #33 is awesome! Just watch out for your anatomy like for the figure in post #32. I think the design is cool, but the legs as too straight. They actually have a natural curve to them. Like others said check out the Loomis and Bridgman books, they are helpful. :)

you've got interesting skills that give quite good results.
but they are shattered, you should use more method and knwow more the basics.
construction of human figure for example (proportions and a bit of anatomy)
the reference is always andrew loomis (his books are free to download)

Hi Karantina,
we all have to study hard :) My only suggestion for you would be to put some more effort on anatomy. It's a must for everything figure/creature related. You already have an artistic approach, why not take it to a next level :)

Nice sketchbook, great studies. One thing I kept noticing was the eyes, some of them appeared to be off balance a little. Either one higher than the other, different size/shape or too far/near to each other. One thing that might help is flipping the canvas to see the image from a different perspective.
Just something I noticed as the eyes are usually what draws the viewer in.
Keep up the solid work!

Nice sketchbook you have here. I'd love to see you more practising on basic anatomy and trying to improve your colour choices.
For anatomy: I was doing a lot of pencil studies from day to day with Loomis' books. It helped me a lot. In result my digital paintings also improved. So instead of just doing some random sketches you might want to consider working trough one or more of these anatomy books.
For colour choices: Besides the obvious "study from reality" master studies are also quite helpful. Have a closer look at artworks you admire and try to figure out what colours the artist used. Colour pick if you have to and can't figure it out. Our eyes can be easily tricked and it's hard to learn how to use these skills when you're not actively studying the use of colours.
The key here is not just that you practise a lot - you need to understand how this stuff works.

Hi, nice sketchbook. I like your pencils, they look good even though they look really dark. :) You have alot of potential in your digis. My advise for now would be that you push them further. try and render out the shapes and try and make it look less digital. :) Also flip your images often when you sketch digital. You sometimes have a "lean"
Keep it up and mix in some studies from life. ;)

Anatomy is tricky. The more studies you doo the better you get. A good thing is learn some simple rules of proportions. I notice that sometimes you paint faces that look so thin also there are some proportianal issues sometimes. :) I recognise myself so much. I used to do the same mistakes. :)
I did a quick paintover to show what I mean. I hope you dont mind. You painted a really pretty girl, I think. so I marked the ereas that needed most attention. I tried to paint as little as possible just use the lasso tool and transform. I made the face wider and I skewed it a bit. It was leaning to the right. Her right arm had proportional issues. I had to paint a little to show. I pressed the whole image a bit together(exept the face) I hope this is helpful for you and that it will help you work on your anatomy.

Keep up the good work. Cheers

Sometimes, you draw the facial features a bit off, but you have a wonderful style in them! Your characters have very strong eyes, they seem to be confident. I like that.
And keep an eye on the proportions - you tend to draw small heads in many of the drawings. But the last ones are better - I hope, you will keep on like that =)
Maybe you can concentrate on using more 3 dimensional shapes to construct your characters. Learn how the body works in perspective. Construction will help a lot to understand

Hey, thanks for stopping by my SB :)
You've got here some really cool works and studies as a crit i would suggest to work more on hand and arm anatomy as in most of your drawings there are anatomy problems in that area.
I really like your faces, and you're progressing with color really quickly too.
Just keep making those studies and keep up with the great work.

You have good anatomy studies - with all those 'landmark' points. Try to use this knowledge while you're actually creating a character.
And keep going! The last update is great!

Cool updates, try to use some more guide lines when you draw/paint the faces so you will get more symmetric results.
Cheers, keep drawing and posting!

So much improvement in here, wow :)
I love your faces, they are beautiful!
You might want to do some hand studies though, especially the wrist part is often a bit too broad in your paintings.
Keep posting! :)

well, your work is definitely better than an amateur! I'm not sure if your going pro, but keep inspired nevertheless. It's good to see other fields merging with art, because then we can get a nice mix of both worlds.
Peace.

Hey. You're work here shows a lot of improvement, and your getting pretty good at painting skin. One thing I notice is that all of your portraits are done from one of two angle: straight on or 3/4. I'd like to see some profiles and top down or bottom up shots as well. Keep on posting! I'm excited to see more.

Great improvement u have shown through some of ur last posts. Still I insist on making more and more studies. U almost there, just need to tune ur anatomy and proportions a little bit. In terms of colors, I really like ur lighting but keep practicing ur values. Paint more from references it'll help a lot!
Great SB keep it up!

I like the quirkiness of your work and your proportions are improving.
You need to add more variety, though. The angles of your faces are pretty much limited to frontal and a certain 3/4 angle. Don't stay in your comfort zone!
Try weird angles, more characteristic features etc. !
Keep up the good work!

You do faces really well, but don't let the anatomy of the rest of the body fall behind! I did this too; it made drawing characters below the neck frustrating for a long time. The only cure is to force yourself to draw all the things you don't want to draw. Turn your difficult zones into comfort zones!
