just started scribbling in painter 7 and this is what came out. I know what i have to do next, but I'm unsure about how to go about it... need to get it more detailed etc. any comments or tips?

I'd start by defining the shapes more. You seem to have the base down but some still seemed to be scribled. After that start smoothing out the colours, what I mean by that is set your highlights and shadows up then get a nice gradient between them so it looks smooth, so once you have that done you can add all the interesting detials over the top. Keep them on different Layers though. Add some reflection/light from the fire on to the armour, a nice red glow or something.

Are you really from Australia or is that a joke?

i think it's not enough construct... take more time... draw a solid linework.
