Was this done in the computer in a 3d modelling program, sculpted, or is it a flat picture?
Sincerely,
Chris
P.S. Nice job. That jewel in his head looks painful.

thx.
Well It's a rendering of one of my 3d models, that I used as a starting point.
I posted more stuff over in the 3d concepts thread.

try to do more with the background. and introduce some more warmer colours like orange and yellow. green asswell as the light of the fire and lava bounces off the bluish armor

Awesome pic man! Can I ask for the wire frame and also maybe a pic of just the 3d guy. I'm also into to modeling as well. What program do you use (XSI, Maya, 3d max, etc..)? Did you use painter or photoshop for the render over? i don't really have and criticism for you except to do somethin more with the background. The colors are fine and you have a solid character, but the background maybe needs to be defined a little more. Not too much to where it's poppin out, but maybe enough so we know what's goin on. Again, nice piece man. :chug:

Hey
Well thanks ..:)
And thanks for the pointers as well. I'll look into spicing the background up.
Here is the base render I painted over.

Quite a well worked out render but the drawn face just amazes me. The stare is quite confident and works out great with the ubersized armor
