Hi,

I work with some books by Bridgman (Constructive Anatomy; The Human Machine; Heads, Features and Faces and The Female Form), but I don't know the other books. Unfortunately, they are not available at our libraries. So I wanted to know what to expect from the other books:

Bridgmans Life Drawing: Is it contained in Bridgman's Complete Guide to Drawing from Life? What's it like? Is it similar to Constructive Anatomy and The Human Machine? Does it, unlike the other books, contain complete figures?
The Book of a Hundred Hands: Is it just drawings, or also some explainations? Is it similar to Heads, Features and Faces?
Fifty Figure Drawings / One Hundred Figure Drawings: Both of them are compiled by Bridgman, but the images are drawn by students, right? Is it any good?
Drawing the Draped Figure: I'm especially curious about that one. What's it like?

I'd be grateful for some ideas! :-)

They are all worth hunting down. I have them all, when they were available on Amazon.com. I should study them more!!

You can search Google Books. There are some page previews for all the books mentioned.

Complete Guide itīs a complendium of the other books, it have almost everything the other books have. Some drawings are left, but Complete Guide have enought information for a lot of years to study.

The Book of a Hundred Hands: Is it just drawings, or also some explainations? Is it similar to Heads, Features and Faces?
Just drawings. He goes form very basic structures of the hand, than add some skeletons, and muscle and then, lots and lots of hand from every angle. Hand is specially tricky.

Fifty Figure Drawings / One Hundred Figure Drawings: Both of them are compiled by Bridgman, but the images are drawn by students, right? Is it any good?
Dont know.

I have Hogarts Drapery:
He shows some tips in render drapery, why the drapes happen, where, and have some examples of different styles rendering drapery. Itīs pretty small, but it more for study, not memorizing.
