Best places for life drawing?

I mean drawing people around you, not nude models.

I've been going to life classes for a while now, but I really want to draw the people around me more. Some people have pages of quick pen drawings of random people, where is the best type of place for drawing groups of people?

I've been to Starbucks a couple of times with our local two man sketchgroup, and it was great. The people were easy to draw, plenty of shy/docile coffee shop types, but I'm having a hard time thinking of other places where the "live models" are so manageable.

coffee shops; pubs; museums; bus stops; book shops; galleries; on the bus; on the tube; on the train; at the airport; on the steps of a Cathedral, church or Castle; the Library; spectators at a football match, rugby match; people on the high street shopping; people at the park; people fishing on the river; family or friends watching TV or playing computer games....

You basically answered your own question, you just need to think a bit more about your locations....

The beach or pool is also good, people are half dressed there and its an easy catch if they are sunbathing.

Go to a bar early in the morning. You will find the hair of the dog crowd and a different class of raging alcoholics. You shouldn't drink in the morning, but try the Irish coffee. One cup is all you need.

Any place with lot's of smokers, they sit still for a good 5-8 minutes.

Train and bus stations are good for long poses.

The laundry mat. Sketching is a great time killer.
